CHAMBER EVENT & ACTIVITY COMMITTEES

1. CHAMBER WORKING COMMITTEES

The Membership / Ambassadors Committee:  Develops recruitment strategies and implements campaigns 

to increase the Chamber’s membership: Also key to membership retention. Ambassadors mentor new members, 

educate, involve and engage Chamber members in reaching the maximum value of their investment. 

Ambassadors provide hospitality at events, are well-informed about the Chamber and conduct outreach and 

support activities on behalf of the Chamber.

The Legislative Action Committee:  Serves as the connection between the Chamber and its local, state 

and federal government representatives. In addition, the committee brings issues and programs to Chamber 

members that may be affected by legislative or administrative action between business and government.

The Marketing and Communication Committee: 

The charge to this Committee is to develop a mechanism for ensuring consistence and 

quality in all Chamber of Commerce marketing materials and the Chamber's Web presence.  

The Committee will assist in the developing strategies to increase and maintain membership,

business participation in Chamber activities, and in promoting Chamber events.

The Annual Meeting & Awards Event Committee:   Plans and implements this September function. 

Nominations are solicited from the membership and recognitions are awarded based on Chamber criteria. 

Newly elected Board Members are acknowledged and presented at this time. The committee selects a site 

and menu, solicits sponsors and distributes and sells tickets.

The Business After Hours Committee:  Plans all BAH events, recruits businesses to 

host the after hours activity and assist the business with the implementation of this important 

networking event.

The Picnic Committee:  Plans and Manages the annual barbeque in June, selects the menu, promotes 

the event and sells tickets.

The Holiday Party Committee:  Plans and implements this festive December event. Members 

secure a site, plan the menu, plan a program, distribute and sell tickets.

The Golf Tournament Committee:  Plans and implements the Chamber’s Annual Golf 

Tournament. Members develop the budget, solicit sponsorships and players, select the venue 

and recruit volunteers to assist with the tournament.

SCORE

A nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs in the formation, growth and success

2. CHAMBER  NETWORKING GROUPS

 

Leads Groups: I, II AND III The Orange Premier Exchange Networking Groups I and II meet at Laurel 

Estates, 245 Indian River Road in Orange. Group III meets at Bruegger's Bagels, 263 Boston Post Road. 

The goal of the Leads Groups is to facilitate the generation of business leads for members of the group  

by creating a reciprocal networking environment. Only one member per industry category is accepted 

into each group and you must be a Chamber member to join.

 

Leads Group # I (Leads OPEN Group)

Meets at  8:00 a.m. alternate Wednesdays of each month at Laurel Estates, 245 Indian River Road, Orange.

Leads Group # III

Meets at 12:15 p.m. alternate Thursdays of each month at Bruegger's Bagels, 263 Boston Post

Women's Leadership Network Group

Meets at 12:00 noon the last Wednesday of each month at Olive Garden, 439 Boston Post Road

in Orange.

The Orange Chamber Health & Wellness Council:

Their Mission is to provide health care resources and information to employers, employees, individuals and 

health care professionals; to provide networking opportunities for members and prospective members; to 

educate members of the Orange community and professionals within the health care industry.To identify

issues and establish a health care legislative agenda for the Orange Chamber of Commerce.

The group meets at 8:30 a.m. the third Friday of each month at Bruegger's Bagels, 263 Boston Post Road, 

Orange.

3. FUSION  MARKETING GROUPS

The primary purpose of the  Chamber's fusion marketing groups is to develop joint marketing efforts 

and share resources. As in the leads groups, only one business or service in each interest area is permitted, 

and participants must be members of the Orange Chamber.  Acceptance into the group is based on a first 

come, first served policy.

Wedding Consortium: A business alliance and referral program for members who market to clientele 

planning a wedding. The group meets the first and third Thursday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in the 

Chamber Office lower level conference meeting room.

Senior Connection:  A business alliance and referral program for members who market to the 

Senior  Community.   Meets at 9:00 a.m. the fourth Wednesday of each month at Laurel Estates, 245 Indian River Road, Orange

B2B:  A business referral and marketing group for Chamber members looking to do business with other businesses

and not directly to consumers.  The group meets on alternating Tuesdays/Wednesdays at 12 noon at Brueggers Bagels.
